International Women Club "Nadezhda": Meeting on the Eve of March 8 On March 6, the traditional meeting of the international women club "Nadezhda" was held at TSTU. The meeting was dedicated to the upcoming International Women's Day and was held under the theme "Beauty Saves the World." The members and guests of the club met in a warm and friendly atmosphere to discuss the significance and history of the March 8 holiday. The event program was vibrant and engaging, featuring songs, poems, and musical performances by international students from the university.

TSTU representatives took part in an online meeting of the Councils of Young University Scientists of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium On March 5, a delegation from Tambov State Technical University took part in a large-scale online meeting of representatives of the Councils of Young Scientists and Specialists of the member universities of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities. The event, organized on the basis of Razzakov Kyrgyz State technical University and National Research Unuversity "MPEI", brought together young researchers and heads of scientific units from the leading technical universities of the two countries. The main purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted, exchange experience and develop practical mechanisms for launching joint research projects, and creating a sustainable platform for developing the competencies of young scientists. During the discussion, the participants agreed to further cooperation and strengthen ties between the councils of young scientists, which will be an important step in integrating the scientific potential of the consortium's universities.

TSTU is developing educational and scientific cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan On March 4, as part of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between TSTU and Fergana State Technical University (Uzbekistan), an online meeting was held between the staff of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at TSTU and representatives of the administration of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at Fergana State Technical University. During the meeting, the participants discussed the organization of a summer school on biomedical engineering in April-May 2026, participation in international conferences with the subsequent publication of joint scientific articles, which will serve as the basis for the formation of joint scientific applications to grant funds, and the organization and implementation of academic mobility programs in relevant areas of biomedical engineering.

TSTU and Al-Muthanna University held a scientific seminar on artificial Intelligence On March 4, TSTU hosted an international scientific seminar titled "Modern approaches of artificial intelligence usage in solving applied problems", which was organized jointly with Al-Muthanna University (Iraq) and supported by the AKKAD Cultural Exchange Organization between Iraq and Russia. During the seminar, the following reports and presentations by TSTU professors were presented to the Iraqi partners in English: "Application of machine vision technologies in quality control tasks of agricultural products", "An approach for human identification based on digital shadow of a body actions and neural network technologies" and "Artificial Intelligence in Medicine: From General Approaches to Arrhythmia Diagnostics, to Clinical Decision Support Systems and to Complex Systems Management" and others.

A meeting of African alumni was held at TSTU On February 26 Tambov State Technical University hosted a meeting of alumni from African countries, organized as part of the activities of the TSTU Foreign Alumni Association. The event brought together representatives from eight African countries and provided a unique platform for open communication and sharing experiences.

The event was opened by Vice-Rector for International Activities of TSTU Elena Mishchenko, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between generations of graduates. During the event, honorary guests gave online speeches: Dr. Paulus Sheetekela from Namibia, Vice-President of Russian Alumni Association of Namibia and founder of Lightside Technology CC, and Dr. Wassim Merchela from Algeria, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor at the University of Mascara.
During the meeting TSTU graduates from Africa shared their experience of studying, building a career and living in Russia and in their home countries. Representatives from Cameroon, Algeria, Congo, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, and Mozambique shared their success stories. Among them were postgraduates and master's students from the university, engineers from construction and IT companies, teachers, employees of large enterprises such as “Rusagro”, and even a fitness trainer from St. Petersburg. Each speaker shared their unique journey, from their student days in Tambov to their professional achievements in Russia and Africa.
The event culminated in a Q&A session, where current students had the opportunity to interact with graduates. The participants discussed not only career paths and educational opportunities in Russia, but also the richness of Russian culture, which has become an integral part of their lives. Speakers from Africa expressed their love and respect for the traditions and unique Russian mentality. It was emphasized that graduates and students from Africa share and support the traditional values of Russia, as outlined by the country's president.
As a result of the meeting, TSTU Foreign Alumni Association was joined by graduates from Namibia, Cameroon, Algeria, Congo, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, and Mozambique.

TSTU discussed the prospects for cooperation with the Chinese consulting company Fengya Tambov State Technical University continues its activities on developing international scientific and educational ties with partners from the People's Republic of China. As part of this strategy, a working online meeting was held with Mr. Han Yongguang, Director of the International Educational Consulting Company “Fengya”. During the meeting, the main focus was on discussing the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and research. TSTU held a working meeting with the Institute of Materials Science of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology On February 5 an online meeting was held at Tambov State Technical University with representatives of the Institute of Materials Science of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of a joint research project dedicated to the creation of advanced technologies and materials. During the meeting, the parties exchanged the views on key aspects of the project, discussed the current progress, and outlined further steps to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation between the two organizations.

A mini-football tournament brought together TSTU international students On January 29, the TSTU sports hall hosted the traditional annual winter Cup of the Faculty of International Education in mini-football for foreign students. The tournament was attended by 15 teams, bringing together about 100 students from different countries. As a result, the victory was won by the team of 1st year students from Cameroon.

An international roundtable with a Kazakhstan partner opened up new prospects for cooperation On January 27, Tambov State Technical University and West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University held a joint international roundtable entitled "Scientific and Educational Projects of Technological Leadership in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan." The event was attended by representatives of the administration and leading departments of both universities. The meeting allowed the parties to identify priority areas for joint work.

TSTU held an international scientific seminar on nanoscience and nanotechnology for an Iraqi university On December 17 TSTU scientists held an international scientific seminar "Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" in an online format for representatives of Al-Muthanna University (Iraq), with the support of the AKKAD Organization for Cultural Exchange Between Iraq and Russia. The seminar was held at the request of the Iraqi side. More than 70 professors, postgraduate students, and students from the Iraqi university participated in the event. During the seminar, researchers from the TSTU Department “Technology and Methods of Nanoproducts Manufacturing” made reports and presented their scientific developments and inventions.

Meeting between the TSTU administration and National Polytechnic School of Algeria A delegation from Tambov State Technical University visited the National Polytechnic School in Algeria. The purpose of the working visit was to develop partnerships within the framework of the Russian-African Network University Consortium. During the visit TSTU Rector Mikhail Krasnyansky and Vice-Rector for International Activities Elena Mishchenko held an official meeting with the administration of the Algerian university, during which the Russian representatives were introduced to the infrastructure, educational, and research facilities of Algeria's leading engineering university. The key event of the program was a roundtable discussion on the prospects for educational and scientific cooperation between Russian and Algerian universities.

Foreign students of TSTU tried on the roles of Pushkin's characters at the regional library Foreign students from the Faculty of International Education together with their mentors and teachers from the Department of Russian Language and General Education, visited the Pushkin Regional Universal Scientific Library in Tambov. During the event, they learned about the plot of Alexander Pushkin's novel "The Aristocratic Peasant Girl" and watched a film based on this work. The film was written, directed, and edited by library staff, and the actors were foreign students studying at Tambov universities.

TSTU representatives took part in the anniversary International Forum of Civil Participation #WEARETOGETHER On December 2–5 the V International Forum of Civil Participation #WEARETOGETHER was held in Moscow. This is one of the key events in the field of volunteering, development of civil initiatives and social design. The regional delegation of the Tambov Region included the Head of the Department of Commerce and Business Informatics at TSTU Marina Blum, Associate Professor of the Department of Management Olga Korobova, and student Ekaterina Cheremisina. The forum, which brought together more than 20,000 participants from all regions of the country and 47 foreign countries, became the largest platform of the year for sharing experiences, presenting the best social practices, and discussing the development of the volunteer movement in Russia.

TSTU and the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene have agreed to develop cooperation A delegation from Tambov State Technical University, consisting of the Rector and the Vice-rector for International Activities, visited the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene, one of the leading technical universities in Algeria. During the visit, TSTU representatives got acquainted with the extensive scientific and laboratory facilities of the Algerian university, as well as its educational centers and specialized departments. Detailed discussions were held on the possibilities of bilateral cooperation, with the participation of representatives from the Algerian university administration and leading scientists. As a result of the meeting, the parties reached significant agreements. In the near future, an agreement on cooperation between the universities will be signed in an online format. Special attention was paid to projects in the scientific field: the partners agreed to start working together on scientific publications and preparing applications for participation in international grant programs.

TSTU develops scientific and educational cooperation with leading universities in Algeria Representatives of Tambov State Technical University visited the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria with a working visit. The event was held as part of the activities of the Russian-African Network University Consortium. During the visit to the National School of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, Rector Mikhail Krasnyansky and Vice-Rector for International Activities Elena Mishchenko introduced their Algerian colleagues to the experience of Tambov State Technical University and also TSTU representatives got acquainted with the research facilities, training centers, and laboratories of the National School of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology. The negotiations resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the institutions.

TSTU discussed the development of joint educational programs with Chinese partners On December 8 a delegation from the People's Republic of China visited Tambov State Technical University. The delegation included representatives from Suizhou Vocational and technical College and Wuhan International Educational Consulting Company “Fenya”. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a roadmap for cooperation between Tambov State Technical University and Suizhou Vocational and Technical College. During the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in implementing a joint educational program in mechatronics and robotics. In addition, an agreement was signed that laid the legal foundation for academic exchange.

A representative of TSTU took part in the III International Forum "The Nuremberg Trials and Modern Law" From November 24 to 28, the III International Forum "The Nuremberg Trials and Modern Law" was held at the International University "MITSO" in the capital of the Republic of Belarus. Irina Iskevich, Head of the Department "International Law"” at TSTU, took part in the scientific event. The program was rich and included presentations by invited speakers from leading universities in Belarus and Russia. The participation of the Head of the Department "International Law" at TSTU in such a high-level forum not only strengthens the university's international scientific ties but also confirms the recognition of its expertise in international legal research.

The 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Digital Transformation of Business: Models and Solutions" On November 27 Tambov State Technical University hosted the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Digital Transformation of Business: Models and Solutions." Traditionally organized by the Department "Commerce and Business Informatics" at the Institute of Economics and Quality of Life at TSTU, this year's event brought together leading scientists, expert practitioners, and business representatives from various countries in both in-person and online formats. The event was attended by partners from the Karaganda Buketov University(Kazakhstan) and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (Kyrgyzstan). During the discussion, not only technological but also managerial aspects of transformation were addressed. The implementation of information security systems against leaks was analyzed using real-life examples.

TSTU hosted an international conference on combating cybercrime On November 27 Tambov State Technical University hosted the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Criminal Procedure, Technical and Forensic Support for Combating Cybercrimes in Modern Society." The event was organized in collaboration with the International University "MITSO" (Republic of Belarus). The conference served as an authoritative platform for a productive dialogue between scientists, practicing lawyers, law enforcement officials and students. The focus of the participants was on the current challenges posed by digital crime and the search for effective countermeasures.

Online meeting between the administration of TSTU and Mustapha Stambouli University of Mascara (Algeria) On November 19 Mikhail Krasnyanskiy, Rector of Tambov State Technical University, and Elena Mishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Activities, held an online meeting with Younes Mouchaal, Rector of Mustapha Stambouli University, and Wassim Merchela, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Science. During the negotiations, the leaders of the two universities discussed cooperation in the fields of education and science, as well as academic mobility for students and faculty members.
A decision was made to sign a cooperation agreement between TSTU and Mustapha Stambouli University, which includes joint educational, scientific, and cultural events, exchange of experience, joint publications, and the invitation of Algerian students and professors to short-term programs at TSTU.

Meeting with the administration of the Higher School of Economics and Business at the Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University On November 13 Elena Mishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Activities, Tatyana Bondarskaya, Head of the Department “Economic Security and Quality” and Larisa Mikheeva, Head of the International Relations Office, held an online meeting with the representatives of the Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University: Cholpon Sadykova, Director of the Higher School of Economics and Business and Marina Omurbekova, Head of the Department of Economic Security and Marketing. During the negotiations, they discussed the possibility of creating a joint Master's program, organizing a summer school on economic security, and implementing lecture courses. Teachers and students from RKSTU plan to take part in the VIII International Forum on Economic Security "Strategies for Countering Economic Security Threats," which will be held at TSTU on November 25-26, 2025.

TSTU hosted an international conference on virtual modeling and industrial design The XI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Virtual Modeling, Prototyping, and Industrial Design - 2025" was held at Tambov State Technical University, bringing together experts from Russia, Belarus, and other countries. The conference featured presentations on a wide range of relevant topics. Participants discussed the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the design of industrial equipment and at machine-building enterprises. Attention was also given to mathematical modeling, including set-theoretic models for supporting decision-making in the management of complex systems, including in the field of education.

Online meeting between TSTU and representatives of Chaohu University On November 12, TSTU held an online meeting with representatives of Chaohu University in China. During the online meeting the participants presented the general information about their universities and educational programs, and outlined common educational and scientific areas of cooperation. Representatives of the international departments of both universities also exchanged information on academic mobility and highlighted aspects of the educational life of international students at their universities. As a result of the meeting, the parties discussed the signing of a framework agreement of mutual understanding in order to further cooperate in the development and implementation of joint educational programs.

TSTU brought together philologists from different countries at the conference "Modern Problems of Philology" On November 7, the Faculty of International Education hosted the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Problems of Philology," organized by the Department of Russian Language and General Educational Disciplines. The conference was attended by experts from universities in Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and China, as well as young researchers, including students and postgraduate students from Russia, China, Vietnam, and India. The conference's sectional sessions focused on the issues of Russian and foreign literature in the context of modernity, linguistics, and methods of teaching Russian language and literature, as well as the problems of teaching Russian language and general theoretical disciplines in a foreign-language audience.

TSTU is expanding its international cooperation with Chinese universities Tambov State Technical University continues to actively work on the development of international scientific and educational relations with partners from the People's Republic of China. As part of this strategy, Elena Mishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Activities, held a working online meeting with Mr. Han Yongguan, Director of the International Educational Consulting Company “Fenya” (China). TSTU discussed the development of a joint educational program with a partner university in Kazakhstan Tambov State Technical University held a working online meeting with representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovative Technological University. The event was dedicated to the implementation and further development of the joint educational program "Electric Power Engineering".

TSTU develops international cooperation with a leading professional institute in China On October 24, a video conference was held between Tambov State Technical University and Shanxi Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (China). The meeting aimed to strengthen international relations and discuss the prospects for cooperation. At the event an agreement on cooperation was signed, which opens up new opportunities for implementing joint educational programs, academic exchange, and research projects.

TSTU is developing cooperation with a leading Chinese manufacturer of CNC machines A delegation from the Chinese company WUHAN HUAZHONG CNC visited Tambov State Technical University. During the meeting with TSTU Rector Mikhail Krasnyansky and representatives of the university's specialized departments, the prospects for scientific and educational cooperation were discussed. WUHAN HUAZHONG CNC is one of the leading manufacturers of numerical control systems, specializing in the development and production of high-tech CNC machines, industrial robots, and solutions for intelligent manufacturing. As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in training personnel and implementing joint scientific projects in the field of digital twins for numerical control machines and the intelligent application of CNC machines.

The IV International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the memory of Professor V.I. Vigdorovich was held at TSTU Tambov State Technical University hosted the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Issues in Electrochemistry, Ecology, and Corrosion Protection" on October 15 - 17, dedicated to the memory of Professor Vladimir I. Vigdorovich, an Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. The forum was attended by leading scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Israel, Hungary, Switzerland, Germany, and other countries, including academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professors, doctors and candidates of science, as well as young researchers and students. The conference's scientific program covered a wide range of topics, including theoretical and applied aspects of electrochemistry, nanomaterials and composites, corrosion control and monitoring, anti-corrosion protection of metals and alloys, environmental aspects of research, and membrane technologies.

TSTU graduate from Namibia was awarded the honorary title of “Ambassador of Russian Education and Science” A graduate of Tambov State Technical University Paulus Shetekela, a citizen of Namibia, was awarded the honorary title of “Ambassador of Russian Education and Science.” Valery Falkov, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, held the third ceremony of awarding the title of “Ambassador of Russian Education and Science” and presented the regalia to representatives of the educational and scientific community from 11 countries around the world. Paulus is the Director of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at the Welwitchia University in Namibia. After graduating from TSTU, he studied at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, but he considers Tambov to be his second home, as it was here that he studied Russian.

TSTU teacher gave a course of lectures on analog electronics at the Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College From September 19 to 30 Assistant Professor Nikolay Chernyshov, Head of the Department “Design of Radioelectronic and Microprocessor Systems”,Tambov State Technical University, delivered a series of lectures on analog electronic technologies at the Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College (China). The curriculum included the characteristics and parameters of semiconductor diodes, crystal and field-effect transistors, linear applications of integrated operational amplifiers, and the principles of signal generation and conversion.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of short-term academic mobility programs for Iraqi students at TSTU, as well as the participation of faculty members from both universities in scientific conferences and joint projects at Russian and Iraqi universities.

Meeting of the International Department with a representative of the Chinа University of Petroleum On September 29, Vice-Rector for International Aсtivities Elena Mishchenko and Head of International Relations Office Larisa Mikheeva met online with Polina Manyakhina, a TSTU graduate and a representative of the China University of Petroleum. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of organizing and implementing short-term training programs for TSTU students at the China University of Petroleum and the Ocean University of China.

TSTU students and their Chinese colleagues paid tribute to the Soviet liberation pilots in Chongqing As part of an international internship in China, representatives of Tambov State Technical University took part in a memorial event organized by teachers and students of Chongqing Industrial Vocational and Technical College. The event was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The essential part of the ceremony was a visit to the grave of Soviet Army heroes. The attendees paid their respects to the volunteer pilots, Colonel Pyotr Skokov and Major Vasily Kotolupenko, who heroically defended the skies of Chongqing in 1940-1941.

Conference on statistical methods for researching regional systems On September 25–26, TSTU hosted the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Statistical Methods for Researching Socio-Economic and Environmental Systems in the Region." The conference was organized into thematic sections focused on current issues in the study of socio-economic and industrial systems, statistical analysis of demographic processes, the application of modern methods in environmental monitoring, and environmental safety. Experts from Moscow, Tambov, and partner universities in Belarus and Armenia presented their reports at the conference.

TSTU scientists together with their Vietnamese colleagues are launching a large-scale scientific project in the field of new materials Tambov State Technical University has become the winner of the Russian-Vietnamese competition for grants in the field of science. TSTU will receive 30 million rubles from the federal budget as part of the national project "Science and Universities", and Vietnamese partners will provide co-financing in the amount of 30 million rubles. The project is designed for three years and aims to develop advanced galvanic coating technologies using carbon nanomaterials to protect equipment operating in a marine tropical climate.

TSTU scientists presented their developments at an international conference in Minsk Representatives of Tambov State Technical University took part in the XVI International Scientific Conference "MEMBRANES-2025" in Minsk. The event brought together more than 150 leading scientists and specialists from the industrial sector in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The conference focused on current issues related to the development and production of membranes, the study of membrane processes, and the design and operation of membrane equipment. The TSTU delegation presented a report on an innovative approach to the organization of electrodialysis separation of aqueous solutions.

TSTU and Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College signed an agreement to launch a joint educational program On September 18 representatives of the Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College (Chinese higher education institution) visited TSTU. Rector Zhao Yaopei and heads of the College's specialized departments discussed cooperation and the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects with TSTU Rector Mikhail Krasnyansky. The key area of cooperation between the two educational institutions is a joint educational program in the field of digital engineering. TSTU professors have already given lectures at the Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College. A further cycle of such classes for Chinese students will be completed by an educational program at TSTU. During the meeting, the rectors signed an agreement on implementing a joint program.

Training course for middle and senior management staff on high CNC technologies On September 16, 2025, a training course for middle and senior management staff on high CNC technologies in the field of intelligent manufacturing within the framework of the "One Belt and One Road" initiative was launched. “The Belt and Road” Initiative is a large-scale project of international economic cooperation aimed at developing industrial cooperation and creating modern transport and logistics corridors between participating countries. The participation of TSTU students and teachers in this program strengthens the university's international connections and opens up new opportunities for cooperation in high-tech industries and industrial production.

TSTU representatives arrived in China for an internship On September 15 a group of TSTU students and postgraduate students arrived in China as part of an academic exchange program. The group includes students studying in the fields of digital engineering, mechatronics, technological machines and equipment and materials science. For a month, they will be undergoing an internship in Chongqing, one of China's largest industrial centers. The purpose of the internship is to gain new practical knowledge and share experiences in the field of digital technologies in engineering.
