The seminar was organized together with International University MITSO (Belarus) in order to develop international cooperation between universities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
Student Academic Exchange Program "Actual Problems of International and National Law" On March 17, 2025 the Program of Academic Exchange of students of Tambov State Technical University (Russia) and International University MITSO (Republic of Belarus) "Actual Problems of International and National Law" in a mixed format was launched at the TSTU site. In the first two days of the Program, the lectures covered topics on evidence in criminal proceedings, the tactics of interrogation and confrontation, the digitalization of working with evidence in administrative proceedings and privileged types of murder under the criminal legislation of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. The program will last until March 31, 2025.
Meeting with Dezhou Vocational Technical College On March 13, TSTU held an online meeting with representatives of the Dezhou Vocational Technical College of China. During the online meeting, general information about universities, information about study programs and research projects was presented. International students of TSTU visited the Intercontinental Friendship Club On March 13, TSTU international students from Cameroon, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other countries visited the “Rostselmash” dealership in Tambov as part of the Intercontinental Friendship Club program. The program included an introduction to the exhibition, which presented effective practices and achievements of the education system of Belarus, educational and wellness services for children and youth of the Russian Federation.
A meeting of the international women's club "Nadezhda" was held at TSTU On March 5, a meeting of the international women's club "Nadezhda" was held at Tambov State Technical University dedicated to the International Women's Day. The main purpose of the meeting was to help students adapt to new conditions, to a different culture, and to establish contact with Russian youth. The program of the event included stories about the meaning and history of the holiday, which is celebrated annually on March 8. The meeting ended with a festive program of songs, poems and music.

The Pancake Week at TSTU On February 28, traditional festivities for international students of TSTU took place at Tambov State Technical University. Foreign students saw off the winter with traditional Pancake Week rituals: round dances, tug-of-war, games, pancakes, burning an effigy of winter and other amusements. The Tambov folklore ensemble "Bereginya" also performed the Russian folk songs, to which foreign students danced merrily.
TSTU holds the X International Student Olympiad in Electrical Engineering On February 25, the final round of the International Student Subject Olympiad "Electrical Engineering 2025" was held. It has been held at the Institute of Power Engineering, Tool Engineering and Radio Electronics since 2015. This year the Olympiad was held for the tenth time. In 2025, 17 universities from Russia, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad. TSTU was represented by Elena Mishchenko, Vice Rector for International Activities, Andrey Egorov , Head of the Youth laboratory “Intelligent Unmanned Robotic Systems”, member of the Council of Young Scientists, and students who participate in the student scientific association.
Women in Science, Education, and Business: Projects and Solutions for the BRICS Economy – an open discussion at TSTU brought together participants from seven countries On February 11 Tambov State Technical University, together with the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Russian Society “Znanie”, held an open discussion "Women in Science, Education, and Business: Projects and Solutions for the BRICS Economy", dedicated to the International Day of Women in Science. The event brought together more than 100 participants from seven countries, including Russia, China, Algeria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as representatives from more than 20 Russian cities. During the meeting, representatives of partner universities discussed key scientific, methodological and educational areas of both universities, shared their vision of interuniversity cooperation in the field of innovative academic cooperation, research and project activities through the organization of joint publications, conferences, guest lectures, the implementation of scientific and educational events, international academic mobility programs, joint applications for participation in international competitions of scientific, technical and educational projects.
Meeting of the International Department of TSTU with representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University On January 30 Tambov State Technical University hosted a hybrid working meeting with representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University (Republic of Kazakhstan). During the meeting, the colleagues discussed the possibility of organizing and implementing a joint professional retraining and advanced training program for students and teachers of the West University in the field of electric power engineering, a roadmap for the main professionally oriented educational and socio-cultural events for 2025, including international academic mobility programs, lecture courses, joint participation in conferences with the possibility of publication in the most important scientific journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as the possibility of organizing and holding joint commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
TSTU held mini-football competitions among international students On January 30 the TSTU Sports hall hosted the traditional annual winter mini-football Cup of the Faculty of International Education for international students. 16 teams from Algeria, Jordan, Syria, Cameroon, Lebanon, Palestine, Chad, Sudan, Tunisia, Guinea, Mali, DRC, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan took part in the tournament. In total, more than 120 people participated in the tournament. According to the results of the tournament, the best goalkeeper, player and referee were determined.
Student's Day at the Faculty of International Education On the eve of the Day of Russian Students, the Faculty of International Education held a traditional open class "Tatiana's Day". International students of Tambov State Technical University learned that Russian students have their own holiday, found out why Russian Students' Day is called "Tatiana's Day", got acquainted with the history of Russian higher education, as well as the traditions and achievements of their Alma Mater. The open lesson was held in an interactive form: international students read poems about students and sang the student anthem "Gaudeamus".

The potential of both universities was presented via videoconference, colleagues discussed the possibility of scientific and educational cooperation, interaction in the field of innovative academic cooperation, research and design activities in the field of oil and gas, as well as the prospects for organizing and opening a joint educational center. TSTU International students took part in the Tambov regional TV project "We Speak Russian" For 4 months the Tambov regional TV company "Novy Vek" has been successfully implementing a new morning broadcasting project. The heroes of one of the headings of the new program which is called "We Speak Russian" are international students of Tambov State Technical University. They remind Russian viewers of the complex rules of the Russian language. The TV project "We Speak Russian" implements several tasks. This includes improving the speech culture of native speakers, strengthening interethnic relations and increasing the motivation of foreign students to learn Russian.
Father Frost from Syria and Snow Maiden from Africa: New Year's holiday for international students of TSTU On December 27 international students of the preparatory department of TSTU took part in the New Year's celebration. Every year teachers of the "Russian Language and General Education" Department organize an event for the students to get acquainted with the traditions of celebrating the New Year in Russia and to present the culture and traditions of their native countries. The guests were greeted by Father Frost from Syria, the Snow Maiden from Africa, as well as international students in the image of New Year and Winter. The program included national dances and Russian songs, dedicated to Christmas and the New Year.
TSTU hosted a conference dedicated to the problems of human rights protection On December 19 on the initiative of the TSTU Department "International Law" Tambov State Technical University together with its partner International University "MITSO" (Belarus) held an international scientific and practical conference "Actual problems of human rights protection in Russia and abroad: the path to solutions". The invited experts of the Conference were: Natalia Burashnikova, Chairman of the Tambov Regional Court, Rashit Ziganshin, Vice-President of the Federal Union of Lawyers of Russia, Vitaly Shcherbakov, Vice-rector of the Tambov Theological Seminary, and Valentin Podgorny, Adviser to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Tambov Region. TSTU students took second place at the International Olympiad in agroengineering From November 25 to 29, the National Research Mordovian State University hosted the All-Russian Student Olympiad in agroengineering. Teams from 14 universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad. TSTU students study intellectual production on an internship in China Students and postgraduates of the Department “Computer Integrated Systems in Mechanical Engineering” of TSTU continue to study China's experience in working on numerically controlled machines. The researchers propose a comprehensive solution to the problem of recycling fried potato production waste. The combination of various technologies will allow to obtain biofuels, biofertilizers from waste and effectively purify waste water. Tambov State Technical University became the winner of the competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for conducting scientific research together with organizations of the BRICS countries in the framework of the program of multilateral scientific and technological cooperation.

A creative meeting with the folklore ensemble "Bereginya" was held for international students of TSTU Every third Sunday in September, the Tambov region celebrates a holiday – the Day of Friendship of Peoples living in the Tambov region. In honor of this holiday, foreign students of the Faculty of International Education and teachers of the Department of Russian Language and General Education met with the folklore ensemble "Bereginya". The ensemble introduced the guests to the Russian folk instrument – the balalaika, with traditional wedding dance and dance songs of the Tambov region, and foreign students performed African dances, a drum battle and a soulful song about their homeland.
TSTU students are winners of the Presidential scholarships to study abroad The results of the All-Russian open competition for the appointment of scholarships by the President of the Russian Federation for students have been summed up. Among 28 students across the country, three students of Tambov State Technical University became winners. Alexandra Nazarova, a master's student in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, will go to Shenyang University of Technology (China), Ekaterina Surkova, a master's student in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, will go to China Jiliang University, and Mikhail Gogorian, a master's student in Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering, will study at the University of East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 2024/2025 academic year.
